Our family went to San Francisco in August and seeing all the hills (as we drove around) reminded me that I HAD registered for the Nike's San Fransisco Half Marathon that was to take place in October.
And in a blink of an eye...October was here and it was time to board a plane and to walk 13.2 miles of hills.
This where I freak out even if I was cool as a cucumber leading up to the event. I see the word "start" and my knees turn to Jell-O...
6:45 am in downtown San Francisco. When do you see the streets like this TRAFFIC free!
The Nike People say "Go" and we follow directions. We then see views that few people get to see at a leisurely pace....
On this particular marathon, firemen greet you at the finish line (in tuxedo) and give you a Tiffany box filled with a special Tiffany/Nike necklace (hence "That Necklace is Mine")....
Such GOOD times. I never tire of the San Fran Half Marathon. Nike knows how to throw a shin-dig!
Work wise? Yes... I still work. Tomorrow I am delivering vintage Halloween costumes, whimsical jewelry pieces, funny vintage shoes & general vintage fun to Uncovered Ruby.
Congratulations on the marathon. Sounds like you had fun. Looking forward to seeing your new goodies at Uncovered Ruby.
