My little heart was pounding...

I started the day meeting The Trio of Trouble at Turner Tabernacle. Say THAT 5 times fast. 

I got the call (okay e-mail...the "call" of 2011) that Aunt Bee's was having a Heritage Holiday Faire sale in Turner and it was sure to be  good one. Well, it's a bunch of my favorite ladies....OF COURSE it was going to be good! 

I walked into the building and about 5 seconds in, before I found my own peeps, I ran into Lisa at A Thing for Roses. I KNEW it was going to be a good day! 

This sale was definitely the boost of creative juice I needed. Just simply GORGEOUS.

I found my trio....it wasn't easy. The place was PACKED. I found them giggling away in a corner. 

We lunched and when we were done and ready to push off, I realized I had NOWHERE to be. Not a single thing on the books after the sale. So...I went thrifting in a town I am NOT that familiar with. It was an adventure filled with excitement!

I imagine you might also be a fellow thrifter/junk hunter. So, you probably ALSO hate the week of Halloween. That time when you pull into your favorite Happy Place and the parking lot is PACKED with teenagers and worried looking parents. All looking for a witches hat, pirate pants, gypsy skirts, clown wigs, canes....FRUSTRATING. EXCEPT...that seems to be the time I find the BEST house wares and furniture!

And my 13 year old had HIS favorite part of the haul. I gave him first choice because he usually helps me carry heavy things and set up at shops. Even the 16 year old girl (17 in nineteen days...WHAT???) raised an eye brow....I saw her light up at this fun find. 

There were about 40 signs in all! We found more and more tucked into all the individual packages. 

I haven't even unpacked the entire car...probably 9 bags FULL.

I nice LONG ride home before I went back to real life. Dinner making, dog walking, laundry..it brought me back into reality. 

Today I get to process it all....little vignettes are dancing in my head! Cheers to The Great Haul.

What a treat to see you! You certainly did better thrifting that day than I did. Let me know what your schedule is like next week for that lunch we keep talking about. I'll meet you anywhere you'd like.

Wow- great finds...so much fun- do you live down that way? Seems a far way to travel to thrift :)

My mom lives in Corvallis so I meet her for sales in the Salem area. I also find the thrift store prices are not nearly as high down there compared to Portland's these days.
