The first ever (I think?) Friday addition of A Vintage Gathering went off without a hitch. A happy evening indeed. We created our own fireflies with little lights twinkling all over the lawn as soon as the sun went down. It was SO very relaxed and old school.
These gals know how to throw a party. Cars started pouring into the driveway acres before our "Go Time" of 5:00. I somehow made my booth presentable by 4:45. A good old fashioned miracle is what THAT was.
Here's one of the cars.....WOW. They arrived in serious style!
You could find farm fresh flowers from a local lady. She had NOTHING in her garden to sell in for the June sale...look at what a difference a month can do!
A week ago at this time, my son and I were HERE....
...front and center at a Katy Perry concert.
Tonight, these were the sparkling, bright lights I took in...
A night and day difference to say the least! Kids (and adults) LOVED the fire pit, s'mores kits and the general feel of the night.
My first sale was pretty much my main display piece.I could only laugh. This is the name of the game. But it sold within the first 30 minutes and then 40% of my items were on the ground.
My display table driving away.....buh-bye!
For SOME reason, Mr. Hollands drove 25 minutes to bring me another table (he saved the day!) and then he went to Uncovered Ruby to clean up my space (I sold some furniture and my stuff was ON the ground! Not a good display look...) and get some items out to help fluff up my space at A Vintage Gathering.
So, if you are in the Battle Ground area tomorrow, I'd suggest you stop on by and say hi to everyone...it's a pretty swell group!
And please, if you do stop by, tell Mr. Hollands and The Girl that they pretty much rock for covering for me & allowing me to keep my space and not cancel!
I would LOVE to meet you too (If I haven't already), but I will be driving down I-5 with a bunch of kids, tons of, loads of groceries, sleeping bags and hopefully a fully charged iPod.
It's ALL good.
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you on Friday night but it was for all the right reasons -- so many shoppers coming through AVG -- I never got around to visit that evening. Safe travels to you!
