New stuff, figuring out gores and these people scare me....
New stuff...I have fun new product. Between preparing for the Holidays, getting ready for my Umpqua Bank moment (3 months worth!!!) and just having fun items.....I have seen so many delivery men this week!!!!!
Love these notebooks. Perfect for your purse or for a girlfriend/secret Santa gift. Get a great pen, tie it to this with ribbon and VOILA.....
This is one of my favorite prints:)))
Becky brought in some great new velvet capes (luscious), some great paper packs, photo cards and my favorite (I'll admit it) this recipe box!!!
Everybody needs rubber chickens around Halloween.
This is just FUNNY. I hate clowns. I abhor them and everybody close to me knows this to be true. So my friend, employee, consignor Tawny brings these in (all smiles) and when she unwrapped them I SCREAMED! I said "OH no...not here you don't do that" and then it hit me..some folks like clowns. I don't know who they are....but there are some folks. I need to open my eyes.
But ewwwwwwwww.....
Gores. Yesterday was sewing class. The teacher pinned my gores to a skirt panel and sent me hone. I came home and stared at that panel/gore pin job and it still meant NOTHING. So frustrating. So...I sewed following the pins, slowly opened up the fold line and all of a sudden...BAM...I understood how it worked! I was sewing until 4:00am!!!!! This was my daughter's "fun" skirt for the next OSU Beaver game.
So exciting...this turned out perfect! I am ready to make about 4 more skirts, but I need to remember that my daughter is ONE PERSON....I cannot make her 4 skirts in one week. Or can I?????
The simple skirt turned out really well too...I will need to get a photo of her in that.
And about the people that scare me.....
On Monday I mentioned a certain celebrity that was in "Friends"....she had a daughter on the show named Emma...she was married (in real life) to a wee bit of a weirdo named Brad. .. (so glad she got out of that self-righteous relationship). Well...I mentioned her and got about 450 hits in 5 hours. She is currently filming a movie here in Portland. People wrote me asking what she was wearing when she was seen here in Portland, what she ordered (food & drink), how her hair was styled...and it really hit me how sad it would be to be a celebrity of that status. It was kind of scary for me and I am just a mom with a family, a shop and a blog. I didn't know there were 4 dedicated sites to finding posts about her. WOW.
I am not judging them. They all seemed very protective of her...they were mainly kind...but some folks posted that I was lying about having spotted her and that she was NOT in Portland, etc....Like I have THAT kind of extra time to make stuff up....whatever.
Okay. Tomorrow is Friday! I have three estate sales marked and one trade show to attend. I suppose I should tell my husband that so that SOMEONE is there for the shop!!! :))))))
Have a great Friday!

Love the new stuff, except for the clowns. I hate clowns as well.
That is just amazing that people would be that interested in J.A.
Have fun at the sales, hope you find lots of great stuff.
Love your skirt. Great job. I cannot sew, so I think you are very talented.
Have a good weekend,
Rosemary
