Tattoos for babies! They are printed on backwards so they are hard to read here, but they have things like  "Spank me", "Rocking the House", and of course...."Mom" and "Dad"....as well as a  little pirate being fed that says "Say Arrrrrr....." and arm bands, birds and binkies.

How does Jennifer A. fit into this all? She is filming a movie here in Portland. The best part being that most people are being so careful of her, that when they DO see her...they don't call people and say that they saw her until MUCH later so she doesn't get mobbed. I think that speaks volumes. I am not sure yet if that's about Jennifer (I think it is) or about Portland (a fast second). We DO love our celebrities...but even Michael Jordan said when he came here "Portland might be the friendliest, kindest city I've ever been to". Gotta love that. I think he's right.

She was so lovely to her restaurant wait staff..they liked her. She paid compliments, asked how their day was going...isn't that a nice change to other celebrities? Lindsay....Paris...Brit....you just never hear about them being kind to staff, laying low, arriving in a regular old taxi. They need to learn a thing or two from the polite gals!!!!

Onto kick pleats.

I am trying to get as much done on my daughter's skirt as I can before class tomorrow night...but I am LOST when it comes to this skirt. Seriously...it's like the worst puzzle EVER. I cannot even IMAGINE how it all goes together. Grrrrrrr..........stay tuned.....

Happy treasure shopping to you all this week. I think I am hitting a couple of estate sales this weekend! FINALLY! No football games, my husband is helping out at the shop....it's all good and happy.

Hey...you folks out there...I am going to a 70's party for Halloween. What should I be? All by myself? My husband ditched me (I wanted to be "old" Elvis and Priscilla) but he ditched me for his friends who are going as the Bee Gee's. But really....How much do I love old dad's going as the Bee Gee's?????

I thought about being Gloria Gaynor with a t-shirt saying "I will survive"...but I am awfully Caucasian for that...and if I ever offended someone...I would die.

It would be hard to survive after that...hey, hey....

Thank you for the lovely update on Jennifer. Please keep us informed about her time in your lovely city. Thanks again.

I wonder if Jennifers movie might have been filming in the Jaapnese gardens yesterday. My son and baby grandson were there from out of town yesterday and half of the gardens were closed to the public due to a movie being filmed.

jennifer is a lovely person

I love hearing nice things about the celebs. I love that!
70's party is not an easy one for me. I'm not sure who I would be. Good luck with that one.

I like Jennifer but I am still on Team Jolie... :)

I hear that the office space they are using is just down the road a bit from out house. May need to do a drive by....

70's party? How about Marcia Brady or the daughter from the Partridge Family?

Oooo, I love costumes!! I can think of a few:
Carrie (bloody mess, I love it!)1976; Princess Leia (easy, but kind of played out) 1977; Annie Hall (my personal favorite choice, easy and SUPER stylish) 1977; Linda Blair from Exorsist (fun with pea soup!) 1973 or Lois Lane (super easy, but maybe not obvious enough) 1978. I would probably go as the guy from Clockwork Orange, because I love an excuse to wear a fedora with fake eyelashes. Or, stick to your original idea and YOU go as Elvis. Oh, I call that era "Fat Elvis" as opposed to your VERY diplomatic "Old Elvis". The Elvis convention people call that "Jumpsuit Elvis". But they are Bat Sh!t Crazy too. I plan on pulling out "young and hot Elvis" for my next Drag Costume party. Holding out for that one!

i'm saving up for jesus
